Naked Whipper are a band from Germany that plays a bestial mixture of war, black, death metal and grindcore and this is a review of their album "Chapel Defilement" which will be released in 2025 by Iron Bonehead Productions.
A keyboard orientated intro starts off the album along with the sounds of torture before going into a very fast and brutal grindcore direction which also utilizes a great amount of blast beats. Vocals are mostly bestial death metal growls and black metal screams and the songs also mix in a lot of war metal elements.
Tremolo picking can also be heard in some of the faster riffing which also gives the music more of a raw feeling. A lot of the music is also very heavily rooted in the early 90's era along with most of the songs having an average length of 2 and a half minutes as well as some of the tracks also adding in a small amount of mid tempo sections. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them and the whole recording also sticks to a heavier direction.
Naked Whipper plays a musical style that takes war, bestial black/death metal and grindcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christianity, Blasphemy and Sadomasochism themes.
In my opinion Naked Whipper are a very great sounding bestial mixture of war, black, death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Depraved To The Bone" "Fucked On Cross" "Nail or Be Nailed" and "Wow Wow Wholy Whore, Hot Wax Fat Candles". 8 out of 10.
