Dewichor are a band from Russia that plays a very aggressive and melodic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2025 album "No Tommorrow" which was released by Satanath Records.
Melodic guitar solos start off the album along with some heavy rhythm guitars a few seconds later. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while synths can also be heard briefly as well as all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them and blast b eats are also added into the faster sections of the songs.
Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams while clean playing is also added into certain sections of the album. When tremolo picking is added into the fast riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling along with the recording also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Some of the songs also very long and epic in length along with some death metal growls also being utilized at times and one song also adds in a small amount of saxophones as well as the album also adding in some influences of post black metal. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover post apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion Dewichor are a very great sounding aggressive melodic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Great Divide" "Barbed Wire" and "Frostfall". 8 out of 10.
