Necropolissebeht are an international band with members from Germany and Canada that plays a bestial mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of t heir 2026 album "Taurunovem-Th'Astraktysn Serfdome" which will be released in February by Amor Fati Productions.
Dark soundscapes start off the album along with a brief use of spoken words before going into a heavier direction while the vocals also add in a mixture of bestial death metal growls and black metal screams. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they also add in a chaotic war metal style.
Brutal blast beats are also added into the faster sections of the songs while some of the guitar riffing also adds in a small amount of dark sounding melodies. When tremolo picking is added into the fast riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling along with the tracks also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts
At times the album also adds in some dissonant touches as well as capturing a very lo-fi atmosphere and the whole recording sticks to a heavier direction along with the the music being very heavily rooted in the modern era. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover abhorrence and the subterranean arts.
In my opinion Necropolissebeht are a very great sounding bestial mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Thorntrail To Goregoltha" "Chamber Of Chains" "Numinouricidal War Winds" and "Welterer of Gethsemania". 8 out of 10.
