Germany's Kanonenfieber have returned with a new recording which shows the music going for an aggressive and melodic mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their album 2026 " Soldarenschicksale" which will be released on January 30th by Century Media Records.
Spoken words and military style drumming starts off the album before going into a heavier direction while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the vocals add in a mixture of black metal s creams and death metal growls.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of blast beats. Clean playing is also added on some of the tracks , when tremolo picking is added into the fast riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling, clear singing can also be heard briefly.
On this recording Kanonenfieber bring out a very modern, aggressive and melodic mixture of black and death metal. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in German and cover the first world war.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Kanonenfieber and if you are a fan of aggressive and melodic black and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Z-Vor!" "Kampf und Sturm" and "Die Fastnacht der Holle". 8 out of 10.
