Bruch are a solo project from Germany that plays a mixture of raw black metal and dark ambient and this is a review of his self released 2026 demo.
Grim black metal screams and percussion style instruments start off the demo before going into a heavier direction. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing When tremolo picking is utilized it also takes the music into a rawer direction and the vocals also evolve into more a high pitched approach.
Spoken words can also be heard briefly while blast beats can also be heard when the music speeds up. Some of the riffing also adds in small amount of melody along with the tracks also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, when keyboards are utilized they also add in elements of dark ambient.
Bruch plays a musical style that focuses more on a raw style of black metal as well as adding in some dark ambient instrumentals to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in German and cover dark themes.
In my opinion Bruch is a very great sounding mixture of raw black metal and dark ambient and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Von Teufelshand" and "Beschworen Zu Richten". 8 out of 10.
