Crucifixion Ritual are a solo project from an unknown location that plays a very old school and bestial form of war metal and this is a review of his 2021 semo "Gouging The Eyes Of Angelic Purity" which will be released in May by Invictus Productions.
A very dark, heavy and brutal sound starts off the demo before going into a very fast and raw war metal direction which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly bestial growls while dark sounding melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing and the music is mostly rooted in the mid 90's to early 200's era.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with the music also avoiding the use of any guitar solos or leads and the whole demo also always sticks to a heavier direction, Gregorian chants can also be heard briefly on the closing track.
Crucifixion Ritual plays a style of war metal that is very raw, bestial and old school sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness, rituals and blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Crucifixion Ritual are a very great sounding bestial and old school war metal solos project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Ritual Bludgeoning". 8 out of 10.
