This is the final review of a recording from Urheimat for the time being which contines the raw and atmospheric style of black metal from previous recordings and the demo was released by Sepulchral Silence Records in the year of 2016.
A very dark, heavy and melodic sound starts off the demo and a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording and when vocals are brought into the music they are very deep yet grim sounding black metal screams.
At times the riffing can get very melodic and you can also hear some depressive and atmospheric elements in the music and clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and the songs stick to mostly a slow or mid paced musical direction while speeding up briefly and adding in a small amount of blast beats and they also bring in a cover of Death in June's "Good Mourning Sun" which also brings in acoustic guitars before closing the demo with one of their own tracks.
Urheimat creates another black metal recording that is raw and atmospheric while focusing more on a slow or mid style of the genre, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and philosophical themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding demo from Urheimat and if you are a fan of atmospheric black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Empty Redemption" and "Waltz Of the Mournder". 8 out of 10.
