This is a review of another recording from Chile's Urheimat which continues the raw and atmospheric style of black metal from the previous release and this is their 2015 "Demo II" which was re-issue by Sepulchral Silence Records.
Distorted amp sounds start off the demo before adding in some slow and depressive black metal riffing and after a few seconds grim screams make their presence known in the music and their is also a brief use of accordions while the second track also introduces clean playing onto the recording.
All of the tracks sound very different from each other and on the third song the music goes into more of a fast and raw black metal direction that also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats as well as bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while also bringing in some 90's second wave influences
Urheimat creates another recording that is done in a very raw and atmospheric style of black metal while also sounding a little bit more different this time around, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and nature themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Urheimat and if you are a fan of raw and atmospheric black metal, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "White nights With Of Purity" and "Fever Of Mercy For A Rotting Soul'. 8 out of 10.
