Lungtoucher is a solo project from the United Kingdom that plays a satanic and occult form of post black metal and this is a review of his self released 2019 ep "The Offering".
Atmospheric soundscapes start off the ep along with a brief use of spoken word samples before going into a heavier musical direction. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic post metal style and are also mixed down very low in the mix.
The music also mixes some atmospheric elements in the heavier sections of the songs while melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing. Clean vocals can also be heard briefly along with the tremolo picking also giving t he music more of a raw feeling when it is utilized and the closing track is very long and epic in length which also introduces clean playing and shoegaze influences onto the recording.
Lungtoucher plays a style of post black metal that is done in mostly a slow or mid tempo style. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism and Occultism themes.
In my opinion Lungtoucher are a very great sounding satanic and occult post black emtal solos project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this e. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Carcosa" and "Blooming Satanica". 8 out of 10.
