Goddamn Gringos are a band from the United States that plays a raw mixture of black, death metal and grindcore and this is a review of their self released and self titled 2022 demo.
A very fast, heavy and brutal grindcore sound starts off the demo along with some high pitched black metal screams a few seconds later. Melodies and dissonant structures are also added into some of the guitar riffing while death metal growls are also utilized at times and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the tremolo picking also gives the songs more of a raw feeling when it is utilized. Most of the tracks are very short in length and the whole demo also sticks to a heavier direction.
Goddamn Gringos plays a musical style that takes black, death metal and grindcore and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover violent and angry themes.
In my opinion Goddamn Gringos are a very great sounding mixture of black, death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Grand Pillars Of Arrogance" and "Generational Cancer". 8 out of 10.
