Paramnesia are a band from France that plays a very atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2013 ep "Ce Que Dit La Bouche".
"I" starts off with clean melodic guitar playing and ambient soundscapes before adding in heavier black metal riffs and drums while retaining the dark atmosphere which in returns to the faster parts along with drums and grim screams and after awhile the song goes into a slower direction and adds in melodic elements staying in that direction for a minute before returning to a more fast and primitive direction as well as switching back and forth between to slow and fast parts as well as mixing in diverse elements in the riffing and after awhile the music goes into a more drone direction along with spoken word samples which also close the song.
"II" starts off with drums and fast, primitive black metal guitar riffs along with some blast beats which leads to some powerful b ass playing and high pitched screams and after awhile the song goes into a more slow and mid paced direction as while as returning to the faster elements at times and as the song moves on the music gets alot more diverse and atmospheric along with a variety of many different types of black metal riffs and the song closes in a more clean direction.
Song lyrics cover Darkness and Anti Christian themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound with both of the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion Paramnesia are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "I". RECOMMENDED BUY.
