Triumph, Genus are a duo from the Czech Republic that plays a very old school form of occult black metal and this is a review of their 2013 album "Vsehorovnst je porazkou prevysujicich" which was released by Iron Bonehead Productions.
"Strucne zahrnout stahujici pritez" starts off with fast black metal metal guitar riffing and blasting drums which sets up the mood for some dark and evil deep black metal vocals with the song also slowing down for a while before returning to the fast parts as well as switching back and forth between the fast and slow parts and mixing in different styles of riffs.
"Uveden z zivot myslenkami" starts off with some dark guitar riffing and powerful drums before going into blast beats and fast melodic black metal riffing which sets up the paced for the vocals while also switching back and forth between fast and slow parts as well as changing the guitar riffs around and adding in other elements.
"Obklopen snazi v predstave" starts off with fast and primitive guitar riffs, blasting drums and vocals and the song switches back in forth between slow and fast parts while also adding in different elements of riffing styles as well as mid paced sections to add more dimensions to the song
"Vsehorovnst je porazkou prevysujicich" starts off with primitive black metal riffing before the drums kick in and the music goes into a faster direction which sets up the pace for the vocals to come in which also leads to some melodic riffing and mid paced sections along with some slower parts while also maintaining the fast and mid paced parts.
"Coz ke mne vse promlouva jinak?" starts off with some 90's style black metal riffing and powerful drums which sets up the pace for the vocals before going into a more fast and primitive direction along with blast beats as well as switching back and forth between the fast and slow parts while also adding in mid paced sections as the song moves on powerful bass playing and melodic elements make their way into the song.
"Zmenit zivot ve skutecnost vyssiho radu" starts off with slow black metal guitar riffs along with some powerful drumming before going into a more fast and primitive direction and adding in vocals and as the song moves on it adds in some mid paced sections before returning to the faster elements as while as switching back and forth between slow, mid paced and fast.
Song lyrics are written in their native tongue and cover different aspects of the occult, while the production has a very raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Triumph, Genus are a very great sounding old school, occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Strucne zahrnout stahujici pritez" and "Coz ke mne vse promlouva jinak?". RECOMMENDED BUY.
