Embarla Firgasto are a solo project from Poland that plays a very dark form of black metal and this is a review of his self released 2018 ep "Inter Spem et Metum".
Atmospheric sounding drones start off the ep before going into a heavier direction while most of the vocals are mostly grim black metal screams along with most of the tracks being very long and epic in length and when the music speeds up a decent amount of programmed blast beats can also be heard.
A decent amount of dark sounding melodies can also be heard in the music while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the music also adding in some progressive and avant garde structures at times and the tremolo picking also gives the songs more of a raw feeling and on the second track clean guitars are added onto the recording.
Embarla Firgasto plays a style of black metal that is very different by adding in some progressive, dissonant and avant garde structures without losing the raw aggression and darkness of the genre, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Philosophy and Misanthropy themes.
In my opinion Embarla Firgasto are a very great sounding black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "II". 8 out of 10.
