Satan My Master are a band from Portugal that plays a mixture of black metal and d beat and this is a review of their 2018 cassette "The King Of Hell Arrives" which will be released in June by Helldprod Records.
Ritualistic spoken word parts start off the cassette before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking while the riffs also use a decent amount of melody along with all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Vocals a re mostly grim black metal screams which also have a touch of first wave influences while the music also brings in a great amount of d beat elements along with the solos and leads being done in a very chaotic yet old school style as well as the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and one track also adds in a brief use of keyboards.
Satan my Master plays a musical style that takes the 80's and early 90's era of black metal and mixes it with d beat to create a sound of t heir own, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover satanic and blasphemous themes.
In my opinion Satan My Master are a very great sounding mixture of black metal and d beat and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Warbrothers Of Darkness" and "Son Of A Whore". 8 out of 10.
