Extispicium are a band from Denver, Colorado that plays a very atmospheric and depressive black metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Belomancy" which was released as a joint effort between EEE Recordings and Quest For Fire.
A very dark and distorted sound starts off the demo along with some heavier riffing a couple of minutes later while melodic guitar leads are also utilized at times while a couple of the the tracks are very long and epic in length as well as some atmospheric soundscapes also being used briefly.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams along with the music also getting very atmospheric at times as well as the music always stick to either a slow or mid tempo direction.
Extispicium plays a style of black metal that is very atmospheric and depressive sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Paganism, Decay and Spiritual Murder themes.
In my opinion Extispicium are a very great sounding atmospheric and depressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Old Religion". 8 out of 10.
