Vindland are a band from France that plays viking/black metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Hanter Savet" which was released by Black Lion Productions.
A very fast, raw and melodic sound starts off the album along with some blast beats and tremolo picking before adding in grim black metal screams and acoustic guitars are also added into some parts of the songs and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and synths are also used at times.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the guitar solos and leads are done in more of a melodic pagan metal direction and the songs also bring back some of the mid 90's Swedish pagan/black metal style.
Vindland plays a style of viking/black metal that is very raw, atmospheric, melodic and epic in the mid 90's Swedish style, the production sounds very raw yet heavy at the same time while the lyrics cover Norse Paganism themes.
In my opinion Vindland are a very great sounding viking/black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Orin Kozh" "Pendenn Koll" "Skorneg Du" and "And The Battle Ended". 8 out of 10.
