Chapter V:F10 are a duo from Ukraine that plays a very aggressive and atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Pathogenesis" which will be released in October by Ashen Dominion.
Spoken word samples start off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats along with the riffs also utilizing a great amount of melody while the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams.
A great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic style along with the music also betting very atmospheric at times as well as the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, clean playing and synths can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and they also bring in intro tracks before some of their heavier songs and at times the music gets experimental without losing any raw aggression.
Chapter V:F10 plays a style of black metal that is very modern, aggressive, raw and melodic sounding, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover psychological, philosophical and esoteric themes.
In my opinion Chapter V:F10 are a very great sounding aggressive and atmospheric sounding black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Pathogenesis As Grace"Nuclear DogmaAN602" and "Helvetestoner". 8 out of 10.
