This is a review of a split album between Netherlands Fluisteraars and Turia called "De Ord" which will be released in October by Eisenwald and we will start off the review with Fluisteraars returning with their atmospheric and epic style of black metal.
Their side of the split starts out with some water sounds before going into a heavier direction along with some clean vocals while their track is almost 15 minutes in length as well as all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and the song also utilizes a great amount of high pitched black metal screams.
Psychedelic and experimental elements can also be heard in the track along with the music also being very atmospheric along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style and the song also sticks to a very slow direction, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover nature themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding track from Fluisteraars and if you are a fan of atmospheric and epic black metal, you should check out their side of the split.
Next up is Turia a band that plays a very epic and atmospheric form of black metal.
Their side of the split starts out with some water sounds before going into a heavier direction while the faster sections of the song also use a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the music more of a raw feeling along with some high pitched black metal screams.
The track is almost 18 minutes in length while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them along with the music getting very atmospheric at times as well as the solos and leads being done in a very melodic style and as the song progresses the music slows down and psychedelic elements and keyboards are added into the music, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover nature themes.
In my opinion Turia are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split.
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of atmospheric black metal. 8 out of 10.
