Riti Occulti are a band from Italy that h as been featured before in this zine and plays an occult mixture of black and doom metal and this is a review of t heir 2016 album "Tetragrammaton" which will be released in October by Triton's Orbit.
Dark sounding drones and ritualistic music elements start off the album along with some spoken word samples and after the intro the bass guitar takes over as a lead instrument and also takes the recording into more of a doom metal direction as well as adding in melodic chants and grim black metal screams as well as some death metal growls.
Atmospheric synths can be heard in the music at times along with some clean singing vocals and some songs also bring in a small amount of psychedelic elements and some songs also bring in a small amount of stoner influences and there is also a brief use of clean singing male vocals and a few of the tracks are very long and epic in length and on one of the songs the music actually speeds up and brings in a small amount of blast beats and the ritualistic sounds also make a return later on during the recording along with some tribal beats and ethnic style acoustic guitars
Riti Occulti creates a recording t hat takes black and doom metal and mixes it in with some psychedelic and ritualistic elements to create something very dark and original, the production sounds very powerful while the lyrics cover the darker side of the Qabala.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Riti Occulti and if you are a fan of black and doom metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Adonai I" "Adonai IV" and "Assiah". 8 out of 10.
