Lord Orots are a solo project from Spain that plays a mixture of atmospheric black metal and dungeon synth and this is a review of his 2020 album "Conquering The Infinite Void" which will be released in August by Onism Productions.
Nature sounds start off the album before adding in some synths onto the recording which also bring in elements of ambient and dungeon synth which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the music. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style.
At times the music also gets very atmospheric sounding while most of the tracks are very long and epic in length. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams along with the guitar leads being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized, demonic sounds can also be heard briefly as well as a great portion of the tracks also being instrumentals and the whole album also sticks to a slower direction.
Lord Orots plays a musical style that takes atmospheric black metal and dungeon synth and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the song themes revolve around fantasy.
In my opinion Lord Orots is a very great sounding mixture of atmospheric black metal and dungeon synth and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Black Abyss" and "The Lord Rises From His Throne" 8 out of 10.
