Epuration Satanique are a band from France that plays a very raw and primitive form of satanic, anti christian black metal with thrash influences and this is a review of their 2005 album "Omnia Vanitas" which was released by Satan's Millennium Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to them.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding along with a great amount of thrash influences being thrown into the riffing as well as a brief use of dark sounding melodies, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very dark, melodic, raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars which are only utilized on the last song they use full chords to enhance the darkness that is coming out of the music.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams along with a brief use of deep growls, while the lyrics are written in French and cover anti christian and satanic themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Epuration Satanique are a very great sounding hybrid of raw and primitive anti christian, satanic black metal and thrash metal and if you are a fan of this style of music, you should check out this band.
