Thyrane where a band from Finland that played a very atmospheric form of black metal with a melodic edge and this is a review of their 2000 album "The Spirit Of Rebellion" which was released by Spikefarm Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the keyboards and synths bring in atmospheric, symphonic and industrial music elements to the recording, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are raw and primitive sounding while adding in a good amount of melody, death and thrash metal influences in the riffing, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very melodic sounding black metal guitar solos and leads .
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams with some spoken word samples, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christian and Misanthropy themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion Thryane where a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band with a melodic and thrash metal edge and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Insidious Dream Of Inhuman Fear" "Thy World Inverted" and "Words Of The Prophet". RECOMMENDED BUY.
