Sodium Thiopental are a band from Istanbul, Turkey that plays an atmospheric form of post black metal and this is a review of their 2015 single "Grey River".
Clean guitar playing starts off the song and once the drum beats kick in the music goes for more of a heavy and atmospheric black metal sound along with some depressive high pitched screams and the music sounds very modern and you can also hear a lot of melody in the track and they also bring in a good mixture of both clean and heavy parts and the whole song sticks to a slow musical direction.
Sodium Thiopental plays a style of atmospheric post black metal that is very melodic and has a Cascadian feeling to them, the production sounds very raw and powerful while the lyrics cover nature themes.
In my opinion Sodium Thiopental are a very great sounding atmospheric, post black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this song. 8 out of 10.
