Morth are a solo project from Bulgaria that plays a very melodic, epic and atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of his 2015 album "Towards the Endless Path" which will be released on December 14th as a joint effort between Symbol Of Domination Productions and Acclaim Records.
A very melodic, epic and atmospheric sound starts off the album along with some synths and grim screams and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording along with the guitar solos and leads utilizing a great amount of melody and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Most of the music sticks to either a slow or mid paced direction while the synths also mix in a small amount of symphonic and ambient elements at times while some of the guitar riffs do have a raw edge to them and you can also hear a great amount of talent and skill in the way the guitar solos and leads are performed and one track brings in a brief use of spoken word parts and on one of the tracks the music does speed up briefly.
Morth plays a style of black metal that is very slow and heavy while also being very melodic, epic and atmospheric at the same time, the production sounds very powerful while the lyrics cover death, eternity, human soul, pain, life and spirit.
In my opinion Morth are a very great sounding epic, atmospheric and melodic black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dark Dawn Arise" "The Black Fog Of Times". 8 out of 10.
