Evil Might are a band from Finland that plays a very satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2021 demo.
A very epic and apocalyptic sounding intro starts off the demo along with a brief use of demonic voiced before going into a heavier direction. Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams while the music also brings in a great amount of 90's second wave influences and all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them.
Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the music more of a raw feeling. Synths can also be heard briefly along with the tracks also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the closing song is also very long and epic in length and also adds in a brief use of spoken word parts.
Evil Might plays a style of black metal that is very satanic, raw and old school sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Luciferianism, Witchcraft, Misanthropic and Apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion Evil Might are a very great sounding satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Crown of Entropy". 8 out of 10.
