Suicide Circle are a duo from France that plays a very depressive and suicidal form of black emtal and this is a review of their 2023 album "Bukkake Of Souls" which will be released in December by Osmose Productions.
Heavy riffing and sound effects start off the album while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody. Vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams along with some angry shouts as well as most of the tracks also being very long and epic in length and the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style.
When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling. Synths are also utilized on a few tracks along with the album also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, as well as some clean playing being added into certain sections of the recording and clear vocals are also introduced on one song.
On this recording Suicide Circle expands on their depressive and suicidal style of black metal. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover the destruction of humanity, mass chaos and spiritual nihilism.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Suicide Circle and if you are a fan of depressive and suicidal black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Star Spawn" "Bukkake of Souls" and "Any of You". 8 out of 10.
