This is a review of another recording from Beithioch which continues their hybrid sound of raw and primitive sounding black/pagan metal, doom and dark ambient but without vocals this time around and this is a review of their 2009 ep "An Sealigaire" which was released by HiArcTow.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the synths bring a very dark, atmospheric, experimental and ambient sound to t he recording, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast raw and primitive sounding black/pagan metal riffs that utilize some atmospheric elements at times as well as doom metal and drone influences being thrown into the riffing and times, while the lead guitars which are only used briefly are very dark and primitive sounding black metal guitar leads.
Vocals and song writing are all absent from this recording with the music being all instrumental, while the song themes cover Ancient Primitive Europe, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Beithioch and if you are a fan of raw and primitive black/pagan metal mixed with dark ambient, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Hunter" and "Abyss Mouth". RECOMMENDED BUY.
