This is the final review of a recording from Desiderium with the music this time being dark ambient with elements of black metal with the ep being self released in 2012 and called "Autumn Tales".
Keyboards which are the main instrument on this recording bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the recording bringing in elements of dark ambient, black metal, dream pop and film scores to create a sound of their own along with a brief use of drum programming.
Vocals and song writing are mostly absent from this recording with the music being instrumental except for the last song and they are all clean singing darkwave vocals, while the song themes cover darkness and nature, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with one of the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Desiderium and if you are a fan of dark ambient with elements of black metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Cicely" which is a Cocteua Twins cover. RECOMMENDED BUY.
