U.K/Iran's Trivax have returned with a new recording which continues the raw and satanic mixture of black and death metal from their previous releases and this is a review of their 2021 ep "Into The Void" which will be on January 22nd by Rat King Records.
Ritualistic soundscapes start off the ep before going into more of a darker and heavier musical direction while both of the tracks a re very long and epic in length. Grim whispered vocals can also be heard briefly before evolving into a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can b e heard.
All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them while both of t he tracks are very long and epic in length. When tremolo picking is utilized it also gives the music more of a raw feeling along with the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
The riffs also bringing in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies, clean playing and clear vocals can also be heard briefly along with the songs are more rooted in a modern style as well as the solos and leads being done in a very dark yet melodic style, the second track is also an instrumental. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism and Occultism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Trivax and if you are a fan of satanic black/death metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Black Nirvana". 8 out of 10.
