Inflabitan are a band from Norway that plays a mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2021 album "Intrinsic" which will be released in February by Soulseller Records.
A very dark, heavy and melodic sound starts off the album while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording. When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can also be heard along with the guitar riffing also bringing in elements of thrash metal and the vocals are mostly grim black metal screams.
Synths can also be heard in the background briefly while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic style along with the tracks also adding in a good mixture of both old school and modern influences.
Some of the riffing also shows an influence of 90's era death metal along with the tremolo picking also giving the songs more of a raw feeling when it is utilized as well as most of the music also sticking to a heavier direction. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover hatred, darkness and evil themes.
In my opinion Inflabitan are a very great sounding mixture of black, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mental Radiation Fix" "Divine Prostitution" "The Evil Mainframe" and "Children of The Damned". 8 out of 10.
