Itnuveth are a band from Spain that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very raw and melodic form of pagan black metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Tales And legends Of Wolves" which was released by Base Record Production.
Acoustic guitars along with some folk instruments start off the album as well as some nature soundscapes and after the sounds of wolves the music goes into a heavier direction while also introducing death metal growls onto the recording and the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic fashion.
Grim black metal screams are also used quite a bit throughout the recording while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling and spoken word parts can also be heard briefly.
Both acoustic guitars and folk instruments also return on some of the later tracks along with some songs being instrumentals while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length and as the album progresses melodic pagan vocals can also be heard briefly and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Itnuveth creates another recording that remains true to the raw and melodic style of pagan black metal from previous releases, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Wolves and Norse Mythology themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Itnuveth and if you are a fan of pagan black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Slightly Dead Sun" "The Battle Of The End Of The World" and "Under The Eternal Wings". 8 out of 10.
