The Reptilian Session are a band from Italy that plays a very violent form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2017 album which was released by Dead Seed Productions.
Sci fi orientated sounds start off the album along with some elements of drone before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams along with the music also having elements of both the first and second wave styles.
When solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very raw and chaotic style while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with one of the tracks being very long and epic in length and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and as the album progresses a brief use of demonic death metal growls can also be heard and a lter track also adds in elements of industrial and electronic music.
The Reptilian Session plays a style of black metal that is very raw, traditional and occult sounding, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Occultism, Reptilian and Anunakian themes.
In my opinion The Reptilian Session are a very great sounding raw and old school black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dark Matter Of Anti-Universe" "Cosmic Glorification Of Evil" and "The Black Exoplanet". 8 out of 10.
