Ramihrdus are a solo project from Wisconsin that plays a very atmospheric and ambient form of black metal and this is a review of his 2017 album "Eternity" which was released by Anthrazit Records.
Ambient style synths start off the album and also gives the music more of an epic feeling as well as mixing in with the heavier sections of the songs while the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams and a lot of the music also gets very atmospheric at times.
Some of the tracks are instruments while the synths also bring in a variety of many different sounding keys along with a brief use of growls and as the album progresses a brief use of acoustic guitars can be heard and they also bring in elements of folk music and when the music finally speeds up a small amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the song a more raw feeling before making a return back to a slower direction and stringed instruments are added onto the closing track.
Ramihrdus plays a style of ambient black metal that is very epic and atmospheric sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover nature, emotions and the afterlife themes.
In my opinion Ramihrdus are a very great sounding atmospheric ambient black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Ethereal Forest" and "Eternity". 8 out of 10.
