Hadopelagyal are a band from Germany that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a very raw and aggressive mixture of war and black emtal and this is a review of their 2022 album Nereidean Seismic End" which will be released in September by Van Records.
Night sounds start off the album before going into a harsher and noisier direction while also introducing heavy riffing onto the recording. When the music speeds up a great amount of war metal elements and brutal blast beats can be heard and the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams.
Meldoies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. A great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with the tremolo picking also giving the songs more of a raw feeling when they are utilized as well as some of the riffing also showing an influence of death metal, all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them and the whole album also sticks to a heavier direction.
On this recording Hadopelagyal brings in more war metal elements into their raw, fast and aggressive style of black metal. The production sounds very dark and r aw while the lyrics cover darkness, violence, and chaos themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Hadopelagyal and if you are a fan of war and black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Intertidal Terrorealm" and "In Dragging Incandescence". 8 out of `0.
