Paramilitant Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

- We formed around June of 2022. From the begining, our ultimate goal was to create a Bestial War/ Bestial Black Death sound with influences from old school Bestial Black Metal gods such as Sadogoat, Goatpenis, Blasphemy. Recently we released our Demo EP and we'll continue to record more materials.

2.So far you have released an EP, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?

- In the recordings, we wanted to make a debut EP that aims to introduce Paramilitant's sound clearly. That sound includes heavily tremolo picking riffs, along with a catchy side, an old school blast drumming, distorted crushing bass tones, and certainly low black death growlings.

3.Some of your lyrics cover Occultism and Rituals, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in the dark arts?

- In our last track 'Rituals of Occult Blood' we aimed to express a theme that focuses on the Occult/ Ritualistic violence and hatred towards to those gothamite, religious despots all over the world. So our occultistic themes are mostly based on misanthropic hate through dark arts.

4.What are some of the other lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored so far with the music?

- Song themes are mainly about Misanthropy, Rituals, War, Occultism. and Blasphemy. In the first song 'Parasite Impalement' from the EP, the song's main idea is pure misanthropy, and extinction of the scum, parasites. And 'Cult of Primitive Obstruction' is mainly about a primitive hate towards the corrupted modern existence.

5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Paramilitant'?

- Our name does not have a deep meaning actually, It just represents our misanthrope war theme perfectly for us. Like a division name.

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the ep  cover?

- The Artwork cover from the EP is mainly about the first song 'Parasite Impalement' . It basically symbolizing the total punishment for the total parasites.

7.Has the band done any live shows or open to the idea?

- The band has never performed live yet, but we are planning to perform live rituals in the near future.

8 Currently the band is unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?

- At the moment we are talking with a label, hoping for an agreement soon.

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of war and black/death metal?

9 - Since the release, we received very supportive messages, reactions from the underground war/black death scene on digital platforms, including the supporters from Bandcamp. Much appreciated.

10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

- We're planning to make a full-length album after our next release. Already working on new materials.  We'll continue to spread intolerance for the traitors.

11.Can you tell us a little bit more about 'War Serpent' a band that shares the same members?

- War Serpent was an early Black Death project of ours. But we decided not to continue in that direction. For more of a Bestial War style, we formed Paramilitant. You can see War Serpent as a split-up project.

12.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

- With no doubt, our biggest influences are Bestial Black gods such as Sadogoat, Blasphemy, Abysmal Lord. Right now all band members are listening to different but also very similar artists. To clear that up, here's the members' top three bands nowadays:

Antihuman Wargoat: Kapala, Caveman Cult, Nyogthaeblisz

Neurotic Terror Provocator: Tsalal, Tetragrammacide and Abysmal Lord

Necromilitant: Blasphemy, Profane Order, Weregoat

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

-  I can say that this interview was very helpful to express our main attitude along with the current release. We’re currently working on new materials for next releases. With a more Raw and violent attitude. After a few live rituals in Istanbul, we'll continue our recordings. All despot religious scum, drones, parasites will continue to be punished by Paramilitant.
