A keyboard orientated intro starts off the album while also capturing the atmospher4e of a horror movie soundtrack before going into a heavier direction. When the music speeds up a lot of blast beats can be heard along with the vocals being mostly grim sounding black metal screams and death metal growls.
When tremolo picking is utilized they also give the music more of a raw feeling while album album is heavily rooted in the mid 80's to early 90's era. Melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they also remain very true to an old school style along with the keyboards also making a return in certain sections of the recording as well as some of t he riffing also showing an influence of the first wave era, clean playing and spoken word parts can also be heard briefly and they also bring in a Tormentor cover. The production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover Demonology, Necromancy, Lovecraftian and Satanism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Black Goat and if you are a fan of old school, occult and satanic black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Demogorgon" "Satanic Unholiness" and "Cyclical Death (My Own Path To Carcosa)". 8/5 out of 10.
