This is a review of another recording from U.SA's solo project Asiratic Lithomancy which shows the music going for a raw and punk influenced form of black metal and the demo was released in 2025 by Elf Eggs and called "From Ether End The Welkin Burns".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the demo while the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched sounding black metal screams. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling and at times the music also captures a very lo-fi atmosphere.
Samples can also be heard briefly while the songs also mixes in a good amount of punk elements. Spoken words and electronic music sounds are also added on one track before returning back to a heavier style along with the recording also adding in a small amount of small and mid tempo sections at times with the main focus being on a faster direction.
On this recording Asiratic Lithomancy continues to expand on the raw and punk influenced style of black metal that he has introduced on previous releases. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover meaning, tradition and the primordial first moment of symbolization.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Asiratic Lithomancy and if you are a fan of raw and punk influenced black metal, you should check out this demo.
