This is a review of another recording from U.S.A's Asiratic Lithomancy which shows the music going for a raw and punk influenced style of black metal and the demo was released in 2024 by Elf Eggs and called "Worthless Remains".
A very heavy punk influenced sound starts off the demo while the music also captures a very lo-fi atmosphere. Vocals are mostly high pitched yet grim sounding black metal screams along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a lot of tremolo picking and blast b eats which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling.
Throughout the demo you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music also adds in some old school touches. Some of the riffing also adds in a small amount of melody along with one song also adding in some science fiction movie samples before returning back to a heavier direction.
On this recording Asiratic Lithomancy continues the expand on the raw, lo-fi and punk influenced style of black metal that he introduced on his previous release. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover pain and geology themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Asiratic Lithomancy and if you are a fan of raw punk influenced black metal, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Idiotic Ramblings" and "Under Domineering Repugnance Of Decaying Torment". 8 out of 10.
