Dys Inbunden are a band from Sweden that plays a very epic form of occult black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "One With Morbidity, The Opus Misanthropy" which was released by Liflatinn Productions.
A very dark and avant garde sound starts off the album along with some grim spoken word parts that add more of a ritualistic feeling to the recording and after a couple of minutes the music starts going into more of a heavy and melodic musical direction as well as speeding up and also addign in more of a raw black metal sound and blast beats.
When vocals are added into the music they are high pitched black metal screams and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads remain true to a melodic Swedish style and some of the songs also bring in a small amount of clean singing.
All of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the vocals also mix in grim elements with the more melodic parts at times and spoken word parts also make a return in some of the songs and are used briefly and as the album progresses acoustic guitar playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording and some of the riffs also have a blackened death metal feeling at times .
Dys Inbunden plays a style of Swedish black metal that is very raw, melodic and epic sounding while the melodic vocals when they are used makes their music stand out a bit more from most of the bands that play this style, the production sounds very heavy and powerful while the lyrics cover death, chaos, the otherside, misanthropy, depression, occultism and left hand path themes.
In my opinion Dys Inbunden are a very great sounding raw, epic and melodic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out the album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Opus Misanthropy" "The Illuminating Gaze Of Lucifer" "Larva Pazuzu" and "He Who Worships Death". 8 out of 10.
