Lubbert Das/Keye/Nebular Carcoma Records/2014 Demo Review

 Lubbert  Das  are  a  band  from  the  Netherlands  that  plays  a  very  raw  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2014  demo  "Keye"  which  was  released  by Nebular Carcoma Records.

  A  very  dark,  distorted  and  melodic  sound  starts  off  the  demo  and  a  minute  later  the  music  speeds  up  and  goes  into  more  of  a  raw  black  metal  direction  along  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  which  also  leads  up  to  grim  and  high  pitched  screams  becoming  a  huge  part  of  all of  the  songs  on  the  demo.

  Throughout  the recording  there  is  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  music  focuses  more  on  an  old  school  style  of  black  metal  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  on the  recording  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  title  track  is  a  very  short  avant  garde  piece  done  with  some  weird  sounding  keys  and  noises  while  the  2  remaining  tracks  show  the  band  making  a  return  to  a  black  metal  direction.

  Lubbert  Das  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  old  school  sounding  and  has  the  atmosphere  of  90's  demo's   with  the  lo-fi  quality,  the  production  sounds  very dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  angry  themes.

   In  my  opinion  Lubbert  Das  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS INCLUDE  "Will"  and  "Born  To  Be  Led".  8  out  of  10.
