Vider are a solo project from Sweden that plays an abysmal mixture of war, black, death metal and grindcore and this is a review of his 2025 album "Strike With Putrefaction" which will b e released on March 31st by WolfKult Religion.
A very dark, heavy and brutal sound starts off the album while you can also hear all of the musical instruments. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking, blast b eats and war metal elements can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling and the vocals also add in a lot of high pitched black metal screams.
Bestial death metal growls can also be heard at times while some of the faster sections also capture the brutality of grindcore. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some of the riffing also adding in a small amount of dark sounding melodies and when guitar solos and leads are finally utilized they are also done in more of a chaotic style, spoken word samples are also added on the closing track.
Vider plays a musical style that takes war, black, death metal and grindcore and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism, Evil, Abominations, Death and Hatred themes.
In my opinion Vider is a very great sounding abysmal mixture of war, black, death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Pillaged, Raped And Slaughtered" "Worm" "Truth And Master" and "Conquer And Triumph". 8 out of 10.
