Celtachor/In The Hall's Of Our Ancient Fathers/2011 Demo Review

Celtachor are a band from Ireland that plays a very raw and primitive form of Celtic/Pagan black metal with a folk music edge and this is a review of their self released 2011 demo "In The Hall's Of Our Ancient Fathers".

Drums range from slow to mid paced drumming with not much in the way of fast playing or blast beats except for one song where they are utilized briefly, while the flutes bring in an ancient Celtic Pagan folk music feeling to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding mixed in with a great amount of doom and traditional metal influences as well as a brief use of melodic riffing in addition the songs are decent length and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are all deep black/pagan metal screams, while the lyrics cover Irish Paganism and Mythology, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Celtachor are a very great sounding mid paced Celtic/Pagan black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should c heck out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rise Of Lugh" "A Warning To Balor" and "The Wavesweeper". RECOMMENDED BUY.
