Hatepulse/In Extenso Letalis/Rage Of Achilles/2003 EP Review

Hatepulse where a band from Norway that played a very hateful and misanthropic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2003 ep "In Extenso Letalis" which was released by Rage Of Achilles.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal blast beats being thrown into the music, while the keyboards are used more of a sound effect instead of being a lead instrument, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to black metal riffs that are very heavy, brutal, raw and primitive sounding while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very primitive and distorted sounding guitar leads.

Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams with some spoken word samples being thrown in at times as well as some deep growls, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christian, Suicidal and Hateful themes, as for the production it has a very powerful and heavy sound while still retaining the raw primal aggression of the music.

In my opinion Hatepulse where a very great misnathropic and hateful sounding black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "God Of Hypocrisy" and "Suicidal Melancholia". RECOMMENDED BUY.
