Voemmr/O ovnh intot adr mordrb/Harvest Of Death/2019 Full Length Review

  Voemmr  are  a  band  from  Portugal  that  plays  a  bewitching  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2019  album  "o  ovnh  intot  mordrd"  which  will  be  released  in  April  by  Harvest  Of  Death.

  A  very  raw  and  lo-fi  sound  starts  off  the  album  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Synths  are  also  mixed  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  music  at  times   while  the  vocals  are  very  tortured  yet  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  music  also  mixes  in  a  good  amount  of  90's  era  French  influences.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  most  of the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  At  times  the  synths  also  gives  the  music  more  of  an  ambient  feeling  while  one  track  also  introduces  clean  playing  onto  the  recording.

  A  small  amount  of  dark  sounding  melodies  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  they  are  also  mixed  down  low  in  the  mix.  The  screams  also  utilizing  a  depressive  tone  in  some  parts  of  the  music  and  as  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  melodic  guitar  leads  can  also  be  heard.  The  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Portuguese  and  cover  dark  and  desolate  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Voemmr  are  a  very  great  sounding  bewitching  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Dorbd Divn"  and  "Carpatr  Tzaeb".  8  out  of  10.
