Bron are a solo project from Serbia but now resides in Serbia and plays a very atmospheric and down tempo form of ambient black metal and this is a review of his 2020 album "Pred Dverima Nocti" which will be released in Decmber by Nordvis Produktion.
Ambient style synths start off the album and also mixes in with the heavier sections of the music at times. Whispered vocals can also be heard briefly along with a great amount of grim yet high pitched black metal screams and when the music speeds up a lot of blast beats and tremolo picking can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling.
At times the music also gets very atmospheric sounding while the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody. The songs also takes the 90's style and mixes it on with the more modern era along with all of the tracks being very long and epic in length and throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording as well as the guitar leads and solos being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized along with one song also introducing clear vocals onto the album, down tempo elements are also added into some parts of the recording. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Serbian and cover the untrodden winds of New Zealand, Scotland and Serbia.
In my opinion Bron are a very great sounding atmospheric and downtempo ambient black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Zastore skrai". 8 out of 10.
