Mexico's Sacrocurse have returned with a new recording which continues the bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their ep "Supreme Terror" which will be released in 2021 by Regain Records.
Classic war movie samples start off the ep before going into a very fast, raw and brutal war metal direction which also utilizes a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking. Vocals are mostly bestial growls along with some grim black metal screams also being utilized at times and the music also adds in a decent amount of 90's influences.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are done in a very old school yet chaotic style. The music also brings in a modern day aggression along with the riffs being done on all power chords and always sticking to a very raw and brutal direction.
On this recording Sacrocurse remains true to the bestial mixture of war, black and death metal that they had established and previous releases. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Gnosticism, Heretical, Hell, Chaos and Blasphemy themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Sacrocurse and if you are a fan of bestial black/death and war metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Herethical Catharsis" and "From Genesis To Revelations". 8 out of 10.
