Eoront are a band from Russia that plays an atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2020 album "Gods Have No Home" which will be released in November.
Nature and fire sounds start off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also sues a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them while the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams. The songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the music also having its atmospheric moments and most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
Stringed and folk instruments can also be heard on some of the songs along with some tracks also adding in a small amount of acoustic guitars and they also add in some touches of folk music as well as one song also introducing synths onto the album and as the recording progresses an instrumental can also be heard, clean pagan vocals can also be heard briefly. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover journeys, rituals, philosophy, fantasy and nature themes.
In my opinion Eoront are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Forlorn Land" and "The Midday herbs". 8 out of 10.
