Wreche are a band from Los Angeles, California that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording plays a mixture of experimental, classical and depressive black metal and this is a review of their 2021 album "All My Dreams Came True" which will be released in May by Handsmade Records.
Blast beats and classical music style pianos start off the album while the vocals are mostyl high pitched depressive black metal screams. The songs also mix in a great amount of post metal elements along with the tracks also getting very avant garde and experimental sounding at times and most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music also captures the atmosphere of blackgaze without the use of traditional metal instruments. When synths are utilized they also give the songs more of an atmospheric feeling along with one song also introducing drones onto the album, one of the later tracks is also an instrumental.
On this recording Wreche continue the mixture of experimental, classical and depressive black metal that was established on previous releases as well as also expanding the style into a different direction. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover art, god, poverty, drugs, love and life in the big city.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Wreche and if you are a fan of experimental, classical and depressive black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Mysterium" "Severed" and "Les Fluers Mov 2". 8 out of 10.
