Demonia Mundi are a band from italy that plays a very epic, occult and satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2021 album "In Grembo Matter..." which was released by Cult Of Parthenope.
Fire burning and clean playing starts off the album along with some grim spoken word parts a few seconds later which also gives the recording more of a ritualistic feeling before going into more of a heavier musical direction. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them while keyboards are also added into some parts of the music. A great portion of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with the vocals being mostly grim sounding black metal screams and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also b e heard.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the tremolo picking also giving the songs more of a raw feeling when they are utilized. as well as the clean playing also making a return on some of the later tracks, clean vocals can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and the music also has its atmospheric moments. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism and Occultism themes.
In my opinion Demonia Mundi are a very great sounding epic, satanic and occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Et in Arcadia ego" and "The Horned And His Thousand Whelps". 8 out of 10.
