Asche der Welten are a solo project from Germany that plays an ambient form of black metal and this is a review of his 2018 demo "Chaos bricht aus" which was released by Apocalyptic Art.
Dark, heavy and melodic riffing starts off the demo along with some atmospheric elements while the vocals are mostly grim black metal s creams as well as both of the tracks being very long and epic in length and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic fashion while the tremolo picking during the faster sections of the music has a very raw feeling to it along with the synths bringing in elements of dark ambient as well as the solos and leads being done in a very melodic fashion, all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the second track is all instrumental.
Asche der Welten displays 2 different styles on these tracks with the first one being more in an atmospheric black metal style while the other one goes into more of a dark ambient territory, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in German and cover post apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion Asche der Welten are a very great sounding ambient black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Zusammenbruch". 8 out of 10.
